SET Environmental, a national leader in compressed gas cylinder disposal and management, has formed a partnership with Airgas, Inc., the largest seller of gas cylinders, to promote and expand gas cylinder remediation services nationwide.
This unique alliance will allow customers in need of gas cylinder disposal to work seamlessly with their local Airgas representative through the entire lifecycle of the process, from cylinder purchase to inventory to invoicing. Working closely with Airgas, SET provides a variety of services, including:
- Inspection
- Packaging and labeling
- Transportation
- Treatment
- Disposal
- Analysis of unknown or suspected gases
- Tapping and drilling of inoperable valve cylinders
- Overpacking of non-DOT transportable cylinders into containment vessels
- On-site cylinder treatment and flaring
In addition, Airgas offers a mobile lab for analysis of large quantities of unknown gases as well as on-site emergency response training.
SET and Airgas can help customers with the required state and federal EPA paperwork for manifesting and disposing of waste under RCRA regulations. SET's national transportation services network picks up cylinders from customer sites anywhere in the United states for transport to our Part B-permitted hazardous waste facility in Houston, Texas. Customers have the assurance that SET's permits and insurance, safety record and compliance record will help them safely dispose of their gas cylinders and remove future liability.
