SET Environmental Policy Statement
Houston Facility:
We recycled 2,482,000 pounds (1,241 tons) of waste in 2009, including:
- 952 tons toward energy recovery
- 210 tons of scrap metal steel for reuse
- 56 tons of compressed gas cylinders for reuse
- 19 tons of battery recycling
- 4.4 tons of metal recovery for reuse
- 1.2 tons of magazines and paper
Wheeling Facility:
- Installed a rainwater capture and reuse system which also minimizes storm water discharge.
- Increased the fuel efficiency of our trucks, conserving about 3,500 gallons of diesel fuel.
- Increased our facility’s energy efficiency by installing compact fluorescent light bulbs that use 75% less energy, and through purchase of Energy Star appliance
- Recycled 110 cubic yards of paper, plastic, cardboard, glass and aluminum
- Recycled scrap steel, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, computers and printer cartridges
Dallas Facility:
- Established office waste recycling program (paper, cardboard, aluminum)
Glenwood Facility:
- Established a metal drum and wood pallet recycling program, along with the existing office waste recycling plan (paper, cardboard, aluminum)
- Installed energy-efficient lighting
- Installed programmable thermostat and motion control lights
- Added insulation to garbage/warehouse areas
- Reused containers and PPE supplies
Houston Field Services Office:
- Established office waste recycling program (paper, cardboard, aluminum)
- Purchased recycled-content paper, folders and more
